A friend highly recommended this book to me. I was leary that it would be too business technical for my liking. Boy was I wrong. I read it in two days! The author shares his keen insights into the sales techniques of real estate professionals (lenders and agents) during the subprime crisis. Most of these stories are very, very funny. I laughed out loud many times during the read. His insights into human psychology are also presented through the struggles of the main character's marriage and career. As Jason Milo tries to salvage his imploding life, he finds that many of his emotional fears are also manifested in his sales tactics. In the end,Jason reconciles the two (the business world and his marriage) with some rather amazing conclusions. This is a personal and powerful read. I loved it.Product details

Haven't read the book, but I'm sure it's good, Ralph certainly has the experience to hold forth on this topic. I went to see him in 2007 about converting my variable rate loan to a 30 Yr. fixed. Walked out of the office with an equity line, a neg-am loan, and a head full of advice about how real estate equity should be leveraged while it was available. 8 Years later (2015) that house is still $200 K under water and Ralph and his cronies have long since moved on.
Did I get taken, yes, was it my own fault, yes. But, I will say that there is nothing entertaining or amusing about the mortgage crisis that Ralph and his industry helped create. It set me back 10-15 years and it's not over yet.
